Situated on the banks of the Savute Channel, Savute Safari Lodge provides an ideal base for exploring Chobe’s dynamic Savute ecosystem. The lodge itself is beautifully designed, with thatched roofs, large windows, and an open-air veranda that overlooks the channel. Savute Safari Lodge’s highlights include concentrations of lion and hyena, as well as leopard, cheetah, black-backed jackal, and solitary elephant bulls. The lodge activities include morning and afternoon game drives in the Savute Marsh region and the exploration of the ancient rock art paintings at Gubatsa Hills, a prominent hilly landmark in the flat region.
