Situated on the banks of the Savute Channel, Savute Safari Lodge provides an ideal base for exploring Chobe’s dynamic Savute ecosystem. The camp provides a unique vantage point with an elevated deck and a sunken hide, allowing guests close-up, eye-level encounters with Savute’s prolific wildlife. Positioned right on the channel’s bank, the lodge ensures a continuous flow of wildlife, offering a sofa safari experience from the comfort of the lodge.

The lodge itself is beautifully designed, with thatched roofs, large windows, and an open-air veranda that overlooks the channel. Each of the 12 guest rooms is spacious and elegantly decorated, with comfortable beds, private balconies, and en-suite bathrooms. The lodge also has a swimming pool, a bar, and a dining area where guests can enjoy delicious meals prepared with locally sourced ingredients. 

The 12 guest rooms, featuring a blend of natural thatching and canvas, offer stunning views of the Savute Channel. Perched among ancient camelthorn trees, the lodge overlooks a dramatic waterhole, providing a unique vantage point for wildlife encounters.

Savute Safari Lodge’s highlights include concentrations of lion and hyena, as well as leopard, cheetah, black-backed jackal, and solitary elephant bulls. The lodge activities include morning and afternoon game drives in the Savute Marsh region and the exploration of the ancient rock art paintings at Gubatsa Hills, a prominent hilly landmark in the flat region. 

The lodge is also home to a hide that offers a close-up view of the wildlife in the area. In addition to game drives, guests can participate in guided walks, birdwatching, and cultural visits to local villages.
